Hello fellow insider!

This week we’re diving into the nutritional challenges of adopting a vegan, plant-based diet and how to ensure you’re getting all the nutrients you need.

Two of the biggest reasons people fail when they transition to a vegan, plant-based lifestyle are mainly due to:

  1. Not having a solid foundation of “Why” they started in the first place.

What is the main reason for transitioning to vegan plant-based? Is it strong enough to help you push through temptations? This is important because if it’s a wishy-washy reason or just a curious dabble, rest assured you will fall back.

  2. Not eating enough calories and getting enough variety of nutrients.

This is a big problem for newbies because they don’t realize that eliminating animal products, eliminates a big chunk of calories.

Eating plant-based, whole foods is low in calories so it’s important to up the ante on plants to meet your caloric intake. At the same time, fuel the body with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables to maximize nutrients.
