And after Hurricane Helene’s extreme devastation in the NC mountains, our support is needed now more than ever - both for the animals and their human caregivers.

In North Carolina, sanctuaries like Farmshire Animal Sanctuary, Wild Heart Farm & Sanctuary, Luna Sea Sanctuary, and Animal Haven of Asheville provide safe havens for rescued farmed animals. They have faced unexpected challenges from Hurricane Helene such as storm damage and increased operational costs.

And now with temperatures dropping to the low 20’s, they could really use our help.

Sanctuaries are dependent on donations and on Giving Tuesday, donations are matched which makes it a perfect time to give.

Another two of my North Carolina favorite sanctuaries are Ziggy’s Refuge and Sisu.

Ziggy’s was the first to step up to help right after the hurricane so your donations to them will go a long way.

Your donations can help provide food, medical care, and shelter for these animals (and their humans in WNC), ensuring they continue to thrive in environments filled with love and compassion.

Marine sanctuaries like the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Dolphin Research Center in Florida are working tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate dolphins, manatees, and other marine animals. These vital organizations depend on our help to care for injured wildlife and educate the public about ocean conservation.

Paul Watson, the renowned marine conservationist and founder of Sea Shepherd, has spent decades protecting marine life and combating illegal fishing and whaling.
Recently, Paul has faced unjust detainment in Denmark and is at risk of being imprisoned as a result of Japan’s pressure. All for his efforts to end illegal whaling practices.
